Most airport transfer problems come from five small things: a missing flight number, a late booking, too many bags for the car, a forgotten car seat, or not knowing what to do if plans change. Here is how to avoid each one.
1. Share your flight number
A flight number lets the car follow the real landing time. If the flight lands early or late, the pickup moves with it and nobody has to make a phone call from the jet bridge.
2. Book 24 to 48 hours ahead
That window gives the best choice of cars and times. Last-minute bookings are often possible, but for holidays, early mornings and big event weekends, earlier is safer.
3. Count the bags, not just the people
Luggage space runs out before seats do. Use this as a guide:
| Vehicle | Passengers | Bags |
|---|---|---|
| Sedan | 3 | 3 |
| SUV | 6 | 6 |
| Passenger van | 14 | 15 |
If you are close to the limit, size up. See the fleet for each class.
4. Ask for child seats when you book
Child and booster seats are available on request. Tell us how many and what type when you book so the car arrives with them fitted.
5. Know what happens if plans change
Changes to the pickup time, place or vehicle need at least 6 hours’ notice. Local trips can be cancelled up to 24 hours before pickup, international trips up to 48 hours. If you cannot find your chauffeur, call 215 960 1777 straight away and do not leave the pickup point. The full terms are on the cancellation policy page.
