The car waits outside
How does a private car city tour of Philadelphia work?
A private car city tour of Philadelphia is a car and professional chauffeur booked by the hour, who drives you between the sights you choose and waits outside each one, so you spend the day seeing the city rather than parking in it.
The chauffeur drives; the stops are yours. Most people start in Old City, eat at Reading Terminal Market and finish on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, but the order is up to you, and the plan can change on the day.
Our chauffeurs are drivers, not licensed tour guides. For a guided visit inside Independence Hall, book the free National Park Service tour; see the note below.
- Old City and Independence Mall
- Reading Terminal Market
- Museum of Art and the Rocky Steps
- Eastern State Penitentiary
- Boathouse Row
- Plans can change on the day
Book Independence Hall before you book the car
Independence Hall needs a free timed-entry ticket from March through December, reserved on Recreation.gov with a $1 reservation fee. Arrive 30 minutes early at the 5th Street security entrance.
Tell us your ticket time and we build the rest of the day around it.

Where the car meets you at Independence Mall
The Independence Visitor Center is located in Independence National Historical Park at 6th and Market Streets.
At 599 Market Street, open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. according to Visit Philadelphia, it is the simplest meeting point for the car between Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell and Old City. Tell the chauffeur when you go in; the car waits nearby rather than circling the mall.

What visitors say.
Quoted word for word from our Google Business Profile.
On our recent family trip in Philadelphia. We have booked a reservation with Black Car Philly which gave us the most amazing black car transportation experience. Definitely recommend it!
The driver was fantastic. I missed to give him the tip. Please send my big thank you to him. I really appreciated all the kind support when travelling from abroad. Many thanks.
Atip was kind and courteous. We were able to schedule a Black Car SUV on very short notice. They showed up early and were waiting for us when we got out of our play. Excellent service!
